Do you ever find yourself starting a project, not feeling it, then leaving it buried in the pile of your other unfinished projects? Well, this was almost one of those.

What initially started as yet another bug drawing, turned into this psychedelic, dark, and moody cicada you see now. All it took was a few months of setting it aside, and returning to it with fresh eyes and zero expectations.
