phenakistoscope series

This is an ongoing series of looping animations inspired by the phenakistoscope animation technique. I started developing this series in 2016, and have been building on ever since.

I began this series as a way for me to capture motion and still image in one. Each phenakistoscope contains every frame of the animation in one still.

As I continue to work on these, I am always challenging myself to create a loop more complex than the last.
